Review:

This was an abysmal effort without anything going for it. Among the numerous flaws with this one is the misleading storyline that supposedly hopes to entertain a supernatural storyline, but does more as a domestic drama. The main focus of everything going on in the film is based around the neglected wife trying to entice and seduce her husband into engaging in sexual shenanigans with her, yet his simple-minded duty to stay with his minister role, so it turns her feelings of lust and affection towards the handyman working on the property. This high melodrama creates a genuinely compelling build-up over time as we see how easily the seduction occurs where her rejected advances to initiate intimacy with her husband turn towards the accepting handyman, creating a kind of steamier relationship she yearns for, yet none of this has anything of any interest in what’s going on.

It goes on way too much, trying to look into their relationship at the expense of genre content, that it’s impossible to follow through on anything that happens in terms of horror, just watching this go on rather than dealing with the horror of the situation. There’s nothing in the pacing here that makes it interesting, even if this one would’ve done anything to ensure the outcome is horrific. All manner of potential supernatural occurrences, including the potentially intriguing idea of her being driven to the life of lust she eventually turns to would’ve been the work of something else that she gives into due to her romantically-stressed state, but that never goes through any kind of potential setup to the overall storyline coming along to the sort of appropriate genre content. Combined alongside the overall cheap and flimsy atmosphere and effects, there’s nothing to be had from this one.

Overview: 0.5/5
An outright disaster without much in the way of horror elements, there’s little in the way of anything interesting or appropriate for Horror fans with this one as the majority of this one plays like a bad melodrama instead. That’s where a lot of this one falls so only go for this one if that kind of effort appeals to you while everyone else should outright avoid it.
