Review:

There were some underwhelming parts here even if this one does become somewhat watchable overall. The main feature that works here is how the central abduction is set up and what's going on within the confines of the facility. The whole setup of the resort is a front for the trafficking setup and how they get overwhelmed, kidnapped, and taken away by the thugs where they're subjected to all forms of abusive treatment comes off rather nicely. These scenes work to bring about the idea of what they're going through as the treatment sets up the escape attempt in the desert when they arrive it serves as a rather earned feature that brings about the kind of interactions found in the second half where they get hunted down in the desert as this features a great slew of encounters and chases within the environment which are somewhat exciting and thrilling as this goes along.

That said, there are some big issues elsewhere in this one. The lack of context for anything going on beyond just being misogynistic torturers who have such simple-minded attitudes and motivations for everything going on feels so cliched and stockpiled together that it's hardly any different from numerous other entries in the series. With the girls given equally cliched and lackluster introductions that are almost interchangeable from each other, this gives off the feel and atmosphere of so many other types of similar-setup genre fare. The other factor with this one is that there are way too many subplots going on, from the escape attempt of the previous victims, the parents of the victims looking for help, and the different deals going on with the criminal gang who are holding the girls hostage which really holds the film up taking everything into account to bring this one down on those factors.

Overview: **/5
A watchable if overall unremarkable thriller, this one comes off decently enough for the type of feature presented here but is still bogged down in too many issues to rise above the mediocre level in the genre. Those who appreciate this type of feature or are fans of the creative crew will be the main factor for this one while most others out there should heed caution with this one.
