Press Release - Badass Bunyip to rampage in July!

When Dazza and Shazza accidentally choose an Aboriginal sacred site for their picnic lunch, all hell breaks loose.

The land down-under has many scary creatures, but none more fearsome than the legendary Bunyip. An unstoppable killing machine with no rhyme or reason. Forget the dangerous snakes, spiders, drop bears, the bushfires, and the pandemic …. nothing is more deadly than a Bunyip on the rampage!

Badass Bunyip is an upcoming feature film produced by David Black, Directed by Gerardo Chierchia and starring Anastasia C Kouloukas and David Black. It’s a schlocky, gory, unrelenting romp of black humour, blood, and Aussie colloquialisms so thick that they would break Google translate entirely if you were to try to decipher them.

After Colonial settlement in Terra Australis, modern society has continually encroached on nature until all that remains in the inner-city suburb of St Kilda is one tiny patch of native bushland, surrounded by skyscrapers, a shopping strip, a sports stadium, and the busiest roads in the country. Deep within it remain all the unknown horrors of a past world, slumbering quietly until they are disturbed and let loose with a vengeance.

This is a movie with things you have never before seen, from the risen spectre of the Kadaicha man to Mimi spirits, the ghost of a long-dead convict, and of course, a Bunyip!. Caught up in this mayhem are countless innocent victims who otherwise might have gone on to live happy and productive lives if only Dazza and Shazza had not blundered into an Aboriginal sacred site.

David Black plays Dazza, an uncouth bogan from the suburbs who just wants to get his girl Shazza to someplace secluded on Christmas day in the hopes of a bit of a snog and maybe even a knee-trembler. Anastasia C Kouloukas is Shazza who doesn’t mind a beer but thinks that a picnic should also include a few sangers, or at least something solid to get your laughing gear around.

David and Anastasia have previously worked together on the gory bondage film “Sinister Symbiosis” and the dystopian sci-fi “Parental Duties.” Both films were edited by Gerardo Chierchia, who also directed “Parental Duties.” Combined, this three make an unholy trinity and you will be able to experience their latest abomination free, online in July.
