Renting a supposedly haunted house, an entrepreneur invites guests out for a party for his wife, where they learn the house is haunted by ghosts and are forced to stay inside the house as they begin to suspect that the experience has nothing to do with ghosts, and they must try to get out alive.
Undergoing an autopsy, a doctor discovers a creature on the spine that occurs through sheer fright and experiments on a colleague's deaf-mute wife, only it accidentally gets loose in a movie theater, forcing them to race to stop it before the creature grows stronger.
Learning they have received a new inheritance, a family heads off to their new mansion and finds that the previous owner was an occultist looking to use thirteen legendary ghosts to access a powerful hidden dimension, and must get out of the house alive.

After a bizarre string of murders, an investigation into the suspected family by a determined detective reveals far more secrets and murder when the main suspect in the murders starts up the rampage once the detective arrives to clear the situation up.
