Meet Amityville Demonslayer Barbi, as she takes on a couple of Evil Dead-Os in a late-night showdown!
Overall, this short starter piece is a fun way to get the concept started. With the intention behind it being simply to present the cold open to the feature film version as a separate entity, it sets a reasonable and somewhat enjoyable persona of what to expect from that full-length version, with some ingenious tips of the hat to the proper commercial property, some humorous quips, and some decent action presented here. While it's patently obvious there are some tricks to present the main slayer as a martial arts expert through the quick-cut camera angles and wirework to enhance the action, it's not distracting due to the solid setpieces featured here, with the outclassed demons meeting up with the heroic fighter and getting taken out afterward. That keeps this one quite fun as it serves the purpose quite nicely overall.
