Review:

This was a highly enjoyable and impressive grindhouse throwback. What works best here is the fact that there's an immediacy to the outrageous that becomes apparent throughout the rest of the film. Starting with the drug-deal-gone-wrong and the resulting massacre that arises out of here, it's quite apparent how this one will operate as the focus on the outlaw biker group operating by their own rules screwing each other and killing indiscriminately in order to fuel their own perverse needs. This is carried on nicely throughout the film with the scenes featuring them in the saloon tormenting and killing the owners or running wild on the campers they find out in the wilderness during their quest. This manages not only a lot of enjoyable action but also plenty of depraved moments in here.

As well, when this features all the expected grindhouse material here. This features plenty of fine sleazy nudity and sexual shenanigans to get everyone here either topless or naked as often as possible given that their main desire is to wantonly screw everyone they can before being gruesomely killed and eaten in some cases. From lesbian hook-ups to taking on various other participants either willingly or not, this is a prominent aspect of the film much like their brutality that renders a ton of impressive indie-flavored gore. Featuring tons of scalping, stabbing, being hung from nooses and the constant removal and devouring of inner organs which are quite well done, these generate some solid and likable factors.

There are a few minor flaws to be had here. There are a few times where the film goes into a series of nonsensical routes simply for the gruesome action to take place. The most obvious is the double-cross between the women which comes out of nowhere with them turning on each other and fighting with each other after a night of passion solely for the graphic confrontation that arises, yet there's even more here that arises in the last half between the gang members as their union dissolves around each other. This all tends to make her vigilante act seem entirely unnecessary since she does nothing to help ensure that and didn't need to do anything to accomplish it which is entirely disappointing. The low-budget might be an issue, but there's not much else to detract from this one.

Overview: ***/5
Quite a fun overall grindhouse throwback, there's a lot to like in terms of action and exploitation elements that manage to hold it up over it's few minor drawbacks that do lower it some. Give it a look if you're into this style of exploitation-style effort or find this one intriguing, while those who aren't into this style or just turned off by the flaws might heed caution here.
