As for the disc-
Picture: ****/5

Frankly, WellGo continues to be an under-the-radar supplier of fantastic transfers here as this one looks incredibly well-detailed. The wide-ranging scope and epic feel of the film come through spectacularly, with plenty of depth in the shots of the swarm running through the palace or the far-ranging scale of the villages. This manages to keep everything bright, clear and discernible for the most part, although it does manage to look somewhat off in the characters' flesh-tones which look overly made-up as if the make-up department applied too much gloss to the actors before filming. More than likely, this is a result of the 1080p hi-def transfer which really would've highlighted this feature more so than a regular film-stock and it's distractedly 'film-quality' skin tones as opposed to people from a feudal period living in history. However, that's really not that big of an issue when the rest of the picture is rich, detailed and completely engrossing.

Sound: ***1/2/5

There's not much really here, the dialogue tracks here are serviceable and appropriate for the package at hand. This supplies a Korean DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 mix that never overwhelms but keeps everything in a clear and consistent quality. This carries on throughout the film with continuous instances of slashing flesh, clanging swords and even deep bursts of whooshing flames from fire and explosions that manages to engage the speaker system without really offering an engaging workout. The numerous lengthy dialog scenes are effectively handled and it's, in general, a wholly effective and serviceable mix.

Extras: */5

Like usual, WellGo provides their release in a dual-pack containing both Blu-Ray and DVD versions of the feature with the same extras. That means we get nearly three minutes of behind-the-scenes featurettes, from a minute and a half package that runs through several scenes in rapid fashion in such a way that the filming of it would be been fun to see play out in full. It's a facet that really seems to be missing from their releases as they also feature another minute-long piece that serves as an EPK for the film based on highlighting the contributions of several prominent role-players in the film. Again, it just makes you want to watch more of how this was made based on these glimpses. We also get a piece about the major players in the film and get their names which helps nicely, alongside the official trailer for the film. As well, trailers for films Mojin: The Worm ValleySwing KidsShadow and Burning round out this disappointingly-typical WellGo release.

Overview: ***/5
In many ways, this is a typical package from the company, providing a thoroughly enjoyable audio and video presentation for a film that's entirely let-down by some haphazard special features that really don't tell us much. It's the studios' one lone fault overall so if you're a fan of these efforts it's the best we've got and the movie itself will be watched more often anyway so the fact that the film's presentation in that regard comes off top-notch should be and is the main selling point.
